Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Again, With Love LLC ("Again, With Love," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Again, With Love app, this website, and our email newsletter. We've tried to write it in plain language. Again, With Love is built for caregivers, and privacy is part of its design: we don't show ads, we don't sell your information, and Again, With Love doesn't use ad tracking. Our newsletter signup form comes from beehiiv, the platform that sends our emails. Inside its own form, beehiiv runs security and basic performance tools, which we explain below.
A note on where the app is today
The Again, With Love app is in active development and testing and is not yet generally available to download. This policy describes how the app, the site, and the newsletter handle information today; we'll update it as the product grows.
Information we collect in the app
We collect only what the app needs to do its job:
- Account information. When you create a caregiver account, we collect your email address and password, and an optional display name. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored by us in readable form.
- Profiles you create. You can add a profile for the person in your care (typically just a first name) and labels for the reassurance buttons you set up.
- Content you record. The short video and audio messages, and any images, that you record or choose for your reassurance buttons.
- Usage within the app. Basic records of which reassurance buttons are played and when, so you can see what's being used. This stays in your account, and we don't use it for advertising.
- Device permissions. With your permission, the app uses the camera, microphone, and photo/file access only to record or select the content you choose. It doesn't use them for anything else.
- On-device data. To work offline and stay locked in the simple patient screen, the app stores a security PIN and offline copies of your content securely on the device. This data stays on the device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
- Crash and diagnostic data. If the app crashes or hits an error, we use Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, to collect crash reports and basic diagnostic information (such as device model, operating system version, and app version) so we can find and fix bugs. These reports never include your recordings, your loved one's profile, or your sign-in details, and they are not linked to your account identity. We never use them for advertising or tracking.
What we don't collect. We do not collect your precise location or contacts, and the app contains no advertising analytics, no advertising identifiers, no advertising SDKs, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. The only diagnostic tool the app uses is the crash reporting described above.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Create and secure your account and sign you in.
- Store your reassurance content and play it back for the person in your care, including offline.
- Keep your content in sync across your own devices.
- Provide support and respond to your requests.
- Keep the app working, safe, and reliable.
We do not use your content or information to advertise to you, and we do not sell or rent personal information.
Consent and the person in your care
Again, With Love is used by a caregiver. A person living with dementia may not be able to give informed consent for the collection and use of their information. By adding someone to the app and recording content for their care, you confirm that you are their caregiver, family member, or legal representative and that you have the authority to do so on their behalf.
We treat the name and usage information connected to the person in your care as sensitive, and we ask you to record and use content respectfully and only for their care and comfort.
How information is stored and shared
We use Google's Firebase platform to run the app, specifically Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage. Your account information, profiles, button labels, recordings, and usage records are stored on Google's servers and processed by Google as our service provider under their security and privacy commitments. You can read more in Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase's privacy information.
This website's host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to run and secure the site.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a future business transfer, in which case we'll require the recipient to honor this policy.
Do Not Track
We don't respond to browser Do Not Track signals. Again, With Love doesn't use information from this site to follow you across other websites. Our embedded beehiiv signup form uses security and performance providers inside beehiiv's own form. Those providers may receive technical information and identifiers under their own policies, and we don't control how their systems respond to Do Not Track signals. When we inspected the form on July 12, 2026, we saw no advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking. beehiiv can change what its form loads, so we recheck it.
The newsletter
Our newsletter is a free weekly email for people caring for someone with dementia. If you subscribe, here is exactly what happens with your information.
Signing up. The signup form on this website is provided by beehiiv, our newsletter service provider. The form is beehiiv's own code, running inside its own frame on our page, and what you enter goes to beehiiv, which stores it and sends our emails for us. We collect your email address, and your name if you choose to give it. Inside that form, beehiiv uses bot-protection and basic performance tools. Those tools may receive technical information about your browser or device, and the bot-protection service may set an identifier on beehiiv's form. Again, With Love doesn't use any of that for advertising. You can read beehiiv's privacy policy. We don't sell your email address.
Confirming your subscription. We use double opt-in. After you sign up, you get a confirmation email, and you aren't subscribed until you click the link in it. If you don't confirm, you may get one reminder, and then we leave you alone. This is how we make sure no one ends up on the list by accident.
What we send. A welcome email when you confirm, a short series of welcome notes over your first week or so, the weekly newsletter, and occasional updates, such as news about the Again, With Love app. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
An optional survey. We invite subscribers to answer a few optional questions, such as who you are caring for and roughly where things are in the caregiving journey, so we can make the newsletter genuinely useful to your situation. Answering is always your choice, and skipping it changes nothing about your subscription. Because those answers touch on your family's health situation, we treat them as sensitive: we ask for your OK right where the survey appears, we use your answers only to shape and, later, tailor the newsletter, we don't sell or share them, and your answers are stored with your subscriber record at beehiiv, our service provider. We use your linked answers while you're subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we stop using them and, on our next regular sweep, clear them from your subscriber profile and pass a deletion request to beehiiv for its remaining copies. You can ask us to do the same sooner at any time. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy covers these answers in more detail.
Polls and replies. Some issues include a quick poll, such as "how was today's issue?", and we read every reply you send us. We use poll answers and replies to make the newsletter better. If you share a story or a tip, we will not quote or publish it, anywhere, without your permission.
How we measure. Like most newsletters, our emails use beehiiv's standard measurement: whether an email was opened (an approximate signal at best) and which links were clicked. We use this to see what's helpful, to keep the list healthy, and to spot delivery problems. We also sometimes add short tags (UTM parameters) to the web addresses we link to, which tell us which link brought a visitor to a page. Those tags label the link itself; they do not place trackers on your device.
Referral program (planned). We plan to add a referral program through beehiiv, where you get a personal link to share and can earn small thank-you gifts when people you invite subscribe. If you use it, beehiiv counts the signups connected to your link so we can send you the reward. Sharing is always optional.
Free resources by email. We sometimes offer a free resource, such as a printable guide, delivered by email. If requesting one also subscribes you to the newsletter, we say so plainly right where you request it. No surprise subscriptions.
Unsubscribing. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and unsubscribing takes effect right away. When you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you. beehiiv keeps a record that you unsubscribed so we don't email you again by mistake. If you want your subscriber information deleted entirely, email us and we'll take care of it. Even then, we keep your email address on a do-not-email list, used for nothing else, so we never contact you again.
Children's privacy
Again, With Love is intended for adult caregivers and is not directed to children. That goes for the app, the site, and the newsletter. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll remove it.
How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data as described in Delete your account & data. For the newsletter, we keep your subscriber information for as long as you're subscribed; the "Unsubscribing" section above explains what happens when you leave. Routine encrypted backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
Your choices and rights
You can access, correct, or delete your information at any time, in the app and in the newsletter. In the app, you can delete an individual recording at any time by opening its button and tapping the trash icon, which removes that recording and its image without deleting your account. To delete your app account and all associated data, follow the steps on ouraccount-deletion page, or email us. To stop the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us to have your subscriber information deleted from beehiiv as well. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws, including the right to access or delete your information and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We honor these requests; just contact us at hello@againwithlove.com.
Privacy requests and appeals. You can make a privacy request any time at hello@againwithlove.com. If we say no, you can appeal by replying with the word "appeal" and the reason you think we should change our answer, and we'll respond in writing. We don't collect, use, or sell personal data to train large language models.
How we protect information
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest on Google's infrastructure, and sensitive data on the device (such as your PIN) is stored using the device's secure storage. Newsletter subscriber information is held by beehiiv under its own security practices. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.
Where information is processed
We are based in the United States. Information is stored and processed on the servers of our providers, Google for the app and beehiiv for the newsletter, which may be located in the United States and other countries. By using the app or subscribing to the newsletter, you understand your information may be processed in the United States.
Again, With Love is a caregiving aid
Again, With Love, including the app, this website, and the newsletter, is a tool to help caregivers offer comfort and reassurance. It is not a medical device or service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app and the newsletter evolve. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by email.
